Does it bother anyone else......

I think it depends on the person getting the tattoo. Some people only have tattoos that all have deep meanings & some just get things that they think r beautiful or that they like & I would be willing to bet that there r people with a mix of both sides. At the same time, I think that people (most especially teens) should think about it a lot before they get a tattoo to make sure that this is something that they really want for themselves or if they're just getting a tattoo to have a tattoo.

I totally understand what you're saying. Most of my tattoos r representative of something, so they have meaning to me. But they're also pretty. I tend to think that the people who r covered in tattoos see me as doing it just to be trendy.which is not me at all, I am quite far from trendy. I also get tired of people who think that people with tattoos r just out to get attention, or that they enjoy mutilating their bodies, or some other negative thing. Just because u do not understand it & do not want tattoos on yourself does not mean that people who have them r stupid, or we will regret them. Maybe if someone was getting something disgusting like some of the ones that I've seen of naked women spreading their parts, I am guessing that should be embarrassing if u ever had children.

Once someone has decorated (mutilated), themself, and then finds it has ruined their everyday normal life, they need a way to convince themselves and those around them that their mistake has a special meaning. The whole thing is B.S., nurtured by the Tattoo industry. Your life will never be the same once you start the process. I feel especially sorry for young girls who are convinced that Tattoo is will make them more popular.

Ever take an art appreciation course? And you're like I do not see the vaginal/ sappho references in the flower, thats just a flower! Well its the same as with tats. Both views r correct. There may not be an obvious reason why u chose ur particular tattoo, its just for looks. But u do not just randomly choose looks. You choose looks on how u r feeling that day, or what kind of person u are, or what kind of person u want others to think u are, etc. We can even break it down to colors chosen instead of designs. Like the color red is passion, life, or violence. Its never just the color red. if asked why u chose the color red, the answer may be well thats what I felt like no special reason. But believe me there is a reason, its just not obvious. I have seven tats. One on the middle of my back. my uncle asked why there cause I could not see it to enjoy it. My answer was ''I dunno, just cause.'' But he has a point.
Anyway no it does not bother me. But if I get a little 'tude I give it right back.

I understand what u r saying. A tattoo is an individual choice & they do not have to have ''profound meanings'' as u put it to be meaningful to the person who has the work done. And just because u have no meaning behind ur tattoo does not mean that one day u will regret it.
However as an Tattooist I have never done cover ups on people who have gotten tattoos that mean something special to them. And I have never seen anyone remove a tattoo that had profound meaning to them.
I do how ever do alot of work on people who 10-20 years latter come in & say yea I thought this was cool once but now I just want it gone. But hey to each there own.

Whatever floats your boat. Just remember that cute butterfly on your butt may look like a Tarydactal when you get older and gravity starts to alter your physique. LMAO

I've rarely run into that problem. but I understand what you mean. I have six circles running down each arm, largest at the shoulder and smallest at the elbow. They really mean nothing. they're just decoration! Some people seem to have an issue with that, but I just shrug them off and go about my day.
There are snobs that will judge you for many many many things in your life and you just have to chin up and do your own thing.

Your absolutely right. I've always thought that you should get what you want, meaning or no meaning. It does not have to be deep or profound to be something you like.

you´re so right, I even see people that have tons of tats and say that all are very special and have a profound meaning of an event in teir lives. BS. It´s just a drawing get over it.
