Tattoos in the work force

PROBABLY ABOUT 20 PERCENT

Tattoos in the work force

i have tattoos all of which are hidden. i think its tacky to have them show . but it also depends on your profession. i do not know how i would feel if my doctor had a tat on his neck. but my trainer could have one and it would not bother me at all. lol

Tattoos in the work force

I am an assistant teacher in an elementary school, & I've noticed that a lot of the newer teachers & assistant teachers coming in r younger, & a lot of them have tattoos. Some of them show them off, & some of them keep them covered. I am not sure what our principal thinks of them, but obviously they have not gotten in trouble if they still do not cover them up. So, to answer ur question, I'd say about 40% of the people I work with have tattoos, but I have not heard of anyone that I work with thinking that they're tacky or anything. Not sure if that is what u wanted to know, but I hope it helped.

I think as long as they are covered up while you're at work, they are fine. I think it is tacky when they are not the neck, face or on the hands.

Where I work alot of people have tattoos, more the guy then the girls. I actually think they look nice, as long as they're professional tattoos. There is a guy were I work who shows off really badly done tattoos on both of his arms, and they are tacky. As they say, '' To each their own''.

Tattoos in the work force

I dont know a % but I know I personally wouldnt care. a tattoo doesnt make a person and you can judge a book by its cover. just because someone has a tattoo doesnt make them any less professional. I seriously hope there comes a day where people stop trying to label people based on how they look. I have tattoos and I have them in places I can cover, not becuase I dont want them to be seen, but because if I want a job somewhere I need them to be coverable.

Tattoos in the work force

prob.! at least in a really obviuose place or if its big!

Tattoos in the work force

As long as their tattoos are not visible and I do not have to look at them I really do not care. It is those people that are looking for attention with the face, nose and too many earring piercings that turn me off.
As an employer I would not hire either.

Tattoos in the work force

I work in the computer field and was unable to hire someone who was fantastic for the job but had a visible tattoo.

If you choose to have a tattoo that is visible and cannot be covered then be prepared for the consequences. Poor choices tend to haunt you for a long, long time.

Tattoos in the work force

I would more than likely NOT hire a person that shows up on the interview with visible tattoos or face piercings.

Tattoos in the work force

I do not know, but I do think they are hideous. There is no such thing as a tasteful tattoo.

My wife works in Human Resources. Her impression regarding visible tatoos is that it definitely makes a difference in how other people regard you at work. I think it depends a lot on what sort of work you want to do. With many jobs it makes no difference. With a good number of careers I think it can make a negative impression that is hard to overcome (whether that is right or not).

Tattoos in the work force

I am a business owner and have several tattoos. However i keep them all covered during the work day. Its not that I am ashamed of them but in a professional environment people would rather not look at the art. So my advice is keep them and keep getting them but make sure you can cover them when needed.

Tattoos in the work force

I think it is tacky in some work places.. but in others it is perfectly acceptable. I feel people should keep their tattoos to places that can be covered by a long shirt with a colar... that is a large area. It is not that tattoos are tacky. it is what the tattoos are of that can be tacky or offensive.

Tattoos in the work force

Nobody knows the percentage, but not many employers will give you a job, if you have visible body ''art.''

Tattoos in the work force

wow good question.I find it extremely tacky but I cannot speak for the population.hmmm.

Of the people I work with, I would say that 50% do not care and about 25% do not like it but know better than to say something. That leaves 25% who express distaste.
